Just one more time June 26, 2008

I was listening to Steven Furtick as he was preaching from Luke 5. verse 5 says Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

But because you say so is 5 very powerful words here. Just think about it. What if you did something just because Jesus said it. How cool and powerful would that result be. When you look at the next verse you see that they begin to catch so many fish that the nets begin to break. I truly believe thats what will happen when we do something Just one more time. Lost hope? Just one more time. Tired of praying for your lost friend . Pray just one more time. Cant hear from God  on an issue? Ask him just one more time. Can’t beat that one thing that gets you down? Try it Just one more time.

When you do it Just one more time your nets will begin to break as well.

Living Large June 16, 2008

Stuck in this rut of ok God when am i free from this. When does it all change. I’ve always longed to be apart of something HUGE God was doing. I see God moving in places but it’s not in places where i am. Ok God my desire is to see you change me and change the lives of people around me but i dont want just something average. Makes me at times doubt God and why he has given me this desire but i never see it happen. Is it something i’m doing is it something i’m not doing. Ok just a bit about me . I dont like the ho hum. I like to see things done way different. I thrive on such things. So where do i go from here? Is it something im doing or not doing? Why do others feel this way? This whole trust God and live by faith stuff just flat out sucks most the time. What is the good in all this? Heck if i know, Just want to get there one day. Until then my prayer is Lord place me in the middle of something HUGE.

Is it a sin to sin?  Wow did that give you a headache or what? So if its a sin to sin would that mean we double dipped in sin?  Ok im crazy. On a more serious note  in the 4th chapter of James it says that if we know the right thing to do and dont its sin. What’s the right thing to do?

Real June 9, 2008

what does it mean to get real? For one it provides freedom. But freedom always has  a price to pay. People you thought were your friends may turn out not to be your friends. You must demonstrate tough love at times when you get real. May have to go against the grain. I use the acrostic to demonstrate being real. I want to live a Relevant Energetic Authentic Life. What does that look like? Well i will start with being relevant but guess what? You will just have to wait on that one
